We are a cost and obligation free service. We help individuals compare procurement options for solar farms and commercial projects.
There are now many funds looking to invest into large scale solar projects. These funds will pay handsome rental rates for land which is fixed for up to 25 years. This promises both a lucrative and risk free return. Therefore, if you have land near to grid connection, out of site from roads, with good access and rock free topsoil, call Solar Selections today to discuss your options. Brownfield sites are of even greater value.
Solar Selections and its parent firm Solar Choice have provided tender management services on a number of large-scale solar power projects, including solar farms in the UK and regional Australia. The Solar Selections management team's experience and knowledge enable us to provide impartial advice on which solar system components are best-suited to a client's needs, and at what price.
With even a moderately sized plot of land, a landowner stands to reap the economic benefits of having a solar farm installed on part of their property; There are a number of government incentive mechanisms for solar power available that have been put in place to encourage the uptake of solar power and other forms of renewable energy.
There are far more generous rates in place for ground mounted systems connected up to a building's electricity meter than if they are not. Systems not connected to a building will receive a flat rate of 6.85pence per kWh.
However, the tariff rates for solar farming systems connected to buildings are as follows:
-Tariff for >4kW-10kW PV Installs = 14.9p/kWh (in year one*)
-Tariff for >10-50kW PV installs = 12.57p/kWh (in year one*).
-Tariff for >50kW - 150kW = 11.10p/kWh (in year one*).
-Tariff for >150kW - 250kW = 10.62p/kWh (in year one*).
-Tariff for >250kW - 5MW = 6.85p/kWh (in year one*).
* Prices will increase each year based on the Retail Price Index, so the value of the generation tariff, export tariff and the savings made by using your own energy will all increase. On average, an increase of 3% RPI for the next 10 years and then 5% RPI for every year after that is used.
The size of the solar panel array on a solar farm varies depending on property energy requirements and available space. For greater flexibility and range of options, both roof-mounted and ground-mounted systems can be arranged.
Circumstances vary from region to region and from property to property. If you are interested in owning and running a solar farm, Solar Selections' commercial solar wing manages the tender process for a wide variety of large-scale solar power projects throughout the UK, including rural solar farms. We can offer you professional consultancy and management advice on your project. Please contact Jarrah Harburn on 020 7205 2267 or send an email to sales@solarselections.co.uk for more information.
